Pancreatic Cancer
Dr. Oz said that Pancreatic Cancer is one of the deadliest cancers that you can get. He said this year alone 44,000 people will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. 38,000 of those people will die. Pancreatic cancer is what took movie star Patrick Swayze's life just 20 months after his diagnosis. Dr. Oz said that Pancreatic cancer often goes undiagnosed because your pancreas lies deep within your body and it's nearly impossible for doctors to diagnose. By the time that you get symptoms the cancer has spread in your body and your chances at recovery quickly declines. Dr. Oz says it is very important to watch out for the following warning signs :
Pancreatic Cancer Warning Signs
- Abdominal pain
- Back pain
- Weight Loss
- Clay colored or white stools
- Heredity
- Excessive Alcohol Consumption (You should limit yourself to 1 alcoholic drink per day, and no more than 2 sodas per week)
- Type 2 Diabetes
- Reduce consumption of fatty red meats and also processed meats. Fatty red meats and processed meats have a higher risk for pancreatic cancer.
- Add 2 servings of red and yellow vegetables to your diet each day. Red and yellow vegetables are high in flavanoids which are potent cancer fighters.
- Curcumin - 750 milligrams twice per day in capsule form. Curcumin is also in tumeric and you can add tumeric to your meals for some added protection. Curcumin has been shown in the laboratory to inhibit pancreatic cancer cells!
- Headaches
- Seizures
- Stroke like symptoms - Tingling in the arms
