Dr Oz, Secrets To Lose 10% Of Your Weight, Points Plus Program

Lose 10% Of Your Weight on Weight Watchers 4 Points Plus Program

Veggie Pizza Recipe On Dr. Oz Show
Finding the right weight loss program for you is very important if you want to lose weight for long term. Weight Watchers Point Plus program is more about lifestyle change than it is a diet program. The four main components to the Points Plus Program are :
  • Make smarter food choices - Dr. Oz says that this "simple" component is easier said than it is to deliver.  The Weight Watchers 4 Points Plus program has a point system and foods are given a nutritional value number.  You have the choice to have a high point higher carb food, but this will leave you less points to choose other foods throughout the day. You may decide to eat a large full plate meal that will have even less points than one high carb food.
  • Don't sacrifice the foods that you enjoy the most - When you deprive yourself from certain foods you will crave them anymore. On the Weight Watchers Points Plus system you are allowed 49 extra points each week to include foods that you enjoy to eat.
  • Eat More Fruits and Veggies - This is Dr. Oz's favorite part of the plan.  Eating more fruits and vegetables are not only encouraged on this Weight Watcher plan, they also don't even have a points number. This means that you are allowed to eat as much fruits and vegetables that you want!
  • Support System - Finding the support that you need is an essential part of the Points Plus program. Weight Watchers have meetings all over the country to help you find the support that you need.

  • Eat Smarter
  • Get Active
  • Adopt Healthier Habits
  • Find Support
Dr. Oz had on a weight watchers leader and he asked her the question, "What makes Weight Watchers so successful?"  She said that Weight Watchers isn't a diet, it's a lifestyle change. She said that Weight Watchers is not just focused on food. She said that lifestyle choices, being active, and finding support are all reasons why Weight Watchers is not just another diet plan.  Dr. Oz said that the science is also behind weight watchers and people lose more weight on this program in comparison to standard care.

Find Your Body Mass Index - Dr. Oz says that knowing your BMI (Body Mass Index) is more important than knowing what your weight is.  Ideally Dr. Oz wants your BMI to be between 18.5 and 24.9%.  You are considered overweight if your BMI falls between 25.0 and 29.9%.  If your body mass index is over 30 you are considered to be obese.  If you are overweight consider these 5 reasons to lose 10% of your body weight :

#1 - Reduce your blood pressure
#2 - Reverse or prevent diabetes
#3 - Lower your bad cholesterol
#4 - Lose 30% of your belly organ fat
#5 - Decrease your risk of breast, endometrial, and colon cancers
