Dr Oz brought on a guest who has lost 8 pounds. This woman was a huge Dr. Oz fan. In fact, she even named her dog after him! She was ecstatic that she lost 8 pounds but was eager to lose more. Dr. Oz had on a guest dietician and asked her what tips and lifestyle advice about losing weight and keeping it off for life!

Dr. Oz Speed Up Weight Loss Tip #1 - Lemon Juice

Lemon juice can help speed up your weight loss and help you meet your diet goals because of the citric acid that it contains. Citric acid slows the rate at which food leaves your stomach. This allows you to feel full for longer periods of time, resulting in less snacking or binging.

Put Your Trigger Foods In The Freezer

Dr. Oz said that having trigger foods in your refrigerator can increase your temptations to snack or make unhealthy meal choices. Dr. Oz gave the tip of putting those trigger foods into the freezer. When you know that you are going to have to go through the process of unfreezing the food and taking extra time to prepare the foods will put you in a better frame of mind to make the right choices.

Remind Yourself To Eat Every 4 Hours

Dr. Oz suggested setting an alarm (possibly your cell phone) that will remind you to eat every four hours will help to keep you from binging. Sometimes when you go longer than 4 hours without eating you are much more likely to binge, snack, or make unhealthy diet choices.

Dr. Oz said that making small lifestyle changes like the ones mentioned above can go a long way over time. Over time the lifestyle changes become habit and you meet and exceed all of your weight loss goals!
